It has been pretty slow on the real estate front around here lately. I?m guessing most people aren?t interested in buying or selling their home around the holidays. But things are starting to pick up again, and here are two fine homes that just hit the market to that effect.

(Incidentally, ?this home is in a pocket of Brookland, around 15th and Jackson Streets, NE ?that is seeing some pricey renovations. You may recall this large beautifully renovated home near there that sold in September for $685,000.)

If you are a fan of open floor plans, this home is right up your alley. I love the hardwoods throughout and the dark cabinets with the light granite in the kitchen. Really though, what I am digging the most are these huge french door that open?the dining area to the back yard. This home was built for entertaining. There will be an open house tomorrow.
