7:15 PM: The University of North Dakota will be auctioning off a set of letters that spelled "Home of the Fighting Sioux" that was taken down from Ralph Englestad Arena. The sign was removed after the NCAA ruled North Dakota could no longer use their Fighting Sioux nickname.
7:00 PM: Memphis Grizzlies VP John Hollinger tweeted before Saturday's Miami-NC State basketball game: "NC St. will have huge crowd edge. Unfair to criticize UMiami fans, however, as wanding for firearms here has really reduced their numbers." Miami went on to beat NC State 81-71.
6:45 PM: Boston College hockey coach Jerry York will miss this weekend's playoff series against Vermont due to a detached retina in his right eye. York suffered the same injury in January and will undergo surgery on Monday.
6:30 PM: Houston Astros first base coach Dave Clark was hit in the back of the head by an errant throw from infielder Nate Frieman during batting practice Saturday. Clark said he was fine after spending several minutes on the ground and added: "I'll rag Nate the rest of the day and the rest of the spring training."
6:15 PM: The agent for free agent receiver Donte' Stallworth says that the injuries suffered in his hot air balloon accident on Saturday will not end his NFL career.
6:00 PM: Seton Hill University women's lacrosse coach Kristina Quigley was killed in a bus crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike along with the bus' driver Saturday morning. Quigley was pregnant and her unborn son died as well.
5:45 PM: Wisconsin basketball coach Bo Ryan said about Bill Carmody, who was fired by Northwestern on Saturday: "He's a guy that has done our profession a lot of good and he's made us proud."
5:30 PM: After his new contract arrived to the Denver Broncos seven minutes after the deadline, free agent defensive end Elvis Dumervil is reportedly parting ways with his agent.

4:15 PM: The Dominican Republic defeated Puerto Rico 2-0 in the World Baseball Classic on Saturday. Both teams advance to the final round in San Francisco, where the Dominicans will play the the Netherlands while Puerto Rico faces Japan.
4:00 PM: Former St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson said that he had considered retiring like Barry Sanders before deciding to sign with the Atlanta Falcons.
3:45 PM: The MetroWest Daily News reports that 40 blind runners have registered to compete in this year's Boston Marathon, while a local eye doctor will open his office to let the runners prepare for the race.
